This project is actually a collection of songs that I wrote over the past 2 years after London Eye. A lot happened and I grew exponentially as a human.
These were months of extreme situations when loved ones left forever leaving their indelible impact on my life forever. Moments of complete helplessness and moments of deep prayer.
I lost my Mother and other Dear family members and at points during this period there were feelings that cannot be expressed in words alone and those have been expressed in sound in the tracks that are in the compilation.
In the stage of life that I am in today, I’ve pretty much been there and done that and what used to excite me as a younger person has faded in relevance today. I’ve always attempted to express only what I genuinely feel and I know that those who have seen life closely will understand me clearly. For those who can’t, maybe you’ll have to wait till you get there someday.
These are songs with a modern day, urban point of view of life and faith. The compilation consists of poetic interpretations of Shlokas that have been chanted for centuries and other songs sharing my personal experiences and tumultuous emotions.
The distance from a structured format has once again allowed my freedom of thought to flow seamlessly beyond the borders of norms. So what you hear is a pure representation of the music that I heard in my headspace when the tunes took birth.
I hope this album touches all those who appreciate an eclectic listening experience. I encourage you to travel with me with an open mind and an innocent heart and enjoy the flight.
I present to you Headspaces.
